Currently residing in Chicago as a clarinetist with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Nicholas Brown is an active orchestral player, chamber musician, and soloist. He is a substitute with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic, Orchestra of Indian Hill, New Bedford Symphony, and formerly held a position with the Phoenix Orchestra (MA). He was a member of the inaugural class of Nova Fellows, and is a current semi-finalist with the New World Symphony Orchestra in Miami, Florida. As a soloist he has performed with Boston Pops Orchestra, Symphony Nova, and the Boston University Symphony Orchestra. Brown’s summers have led him on tours through the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria, as well as being a Festival Artist at Newport Music Festival’s 48th Season. This summer he will attend the Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine as an orchestral fellow.
